Udaipur: Dense fog and poor visibility around Udaipur on Monday affected flight operations to and from the city. Flights coming from Jaipur, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad could not land at the Maharana Pratap airport of Udaipur and were diverted to Ahmedabad in the morning. The respective airlines made arrangements to send the passengers to Ahmedabad by road and facilitated boarding other flights to their destinations.
The passengers travelling to various destinations from Udaipur got stuck at the airport leading to a big rush at the airport. As the fog continued in the afternoon too the airport authority finally decided to cancel all the remaining flights which were scheduled to arrive and depart from Udaipur airport. Because of the western disturbance, dense fog enveloped the lake city since morning and continued throughout the day.
